Add an invisible text layer to scanned PDFs so they become searchable and copyable — the pages look exactly the same. It runs inside your browser: the file never leaves your device, there is no upload, no watermark, and no account is needed.

How it works
- Open the tool and add your files (drag and drop or choose). They stay in this browser tab.
- Adjust the options below if you need to, then press Process.
- Preview the result and download it. Close the tab and everything is gone.

Options
- Language: English, Ukrainian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch
- Skip pages that already contain text
- Also save the recognised text as .txt
- Scan resolution (DPI): 150 (fast), 200 (recommended), 300 (small print)
Limits, honestly
- OCR runs in your browser with Tesseract; the language data (2–6 MB) is fetched once per language.
- First visit downloads the processing engine (about 19 MB, cached afterwards); after that no request carries your files.
- One job runs at a time, and very large files can exhaust the browser tab's memory.
- Needs a current browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) opened directly at asolution.app.
Questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. OCR PDF (make searchable) runs inside the page (WebAssembly). Your file is read into the browser tab's memory and the result is written back to your device. You can check the Network tab of your browser while it runs: no request carries your file.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, with no ads and no watermark. You do not need an account to use any tool. There is also a free membership: join before 13 December 2026 and the tools stay free for you afterwards, for as long as the site runs. The tools themselves are identical either way.
Does it work offline?
Partly. Once the engine is cached your browser does the work without sending anything, but the page itself still has to be opened from asolution.app, so you need a connection to load it.
